TICO TICO
Tico-Tico no Fubá is the title of a renowned Brazilian choro music piece composed by Zequinha de Abreu in 1917. Its original title was Tico-Tico no Farelo, but since Brazilian guitarist Américo Jacomino Canhoto (1889–1928) had a work with the same title,[1] Abreu’s work was given its present name in 1931.

Choro (literally translated meaning lament) is also popularly known as chorinho in the affectionate diminutive form of Brazilian Portuguese. “Fubá” is a type of maize flour, and “tico-tico” is the name of a bird, the rufous-collared sparrow (Zonotrichia capensis). Hence, “tico-tico no fubá” means “tico-tico in the cornmeal

PHỐ XƯA

Lời giới thiệu của violinist Mạnh Cường : Trong khoảng thời gian vài năm gần đây, nữ nhạc sĩ Lương Nguyên Thảo đã sáng tác nhiều tác phẩm nhạc như : Muối Mặn, Phố Xưa, Tình Thôi xanh Mơ.... và nhiều tác phẩm khác. Mỗi tác phẩm thể hiện một giai điệu và tiết tấu khác nhau và phô diển những tính chất riêng biệt của mình. Trong các tác phẩm người nghe cãm nhận được sự sâu lắng, nồng nàn, nuối tiếc và cả tính chất của những nhân vật trong câu chuyện The Mandoline được viết bởi tác già.
Trong nhạc phẩm Phố Xưa, ca sĩ Quang Tuấn bằng giọng ca truyền cảm, lảo luyện của mình đã làm tăng thêm vẻ đẹp nhẹ nhàng nhưng sâu lắng của bản nhạc qua từng nốt nhạc anh hát. Xin được giới thiệu tác phẩm này với các bạn yêu nhạc của Ngày Ấy
